Hillingdon Council’s Battle of Britain Bunker Exhibition and Visitor Centre is hosting a range of fun and informative events to commemorate one of the most important moments in military history. Arts Society Hillingdon - A lecture by Denise Haywood Jim Thompson arrived in Bangkok as a US officer in 1945. Captivated by the beauty of Thai silk, he resuscitated an ancient craft in decline and made it famous, creating costumes for films and embellishing his historic house, which today is a museum. These include flowers, fruit and vegetables they have grown, floral art, baking, handicrafts, photography and entries from children.
