Join the Hillingdon Ramblers for a leisurely walk of 3-4 miles from Chorleywood Met line station on good paths with no stiles. Just turn up and you will be made very welcome. The great news that many local people have wanted to hear has finally been announced - the Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) Inpatient Unit will reopen on Saturday 14th December 2019. The grand opening will give MSH supporters, volunteers and the wider local community an opportunity to have a look around the newly refurbished facility before it opens its doors to patients the following week. Eastcote and Ruislip Choral Society Our Christmas concert is on 14th December at 3.30pm, followed by tea. It features Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols and traditional carols for all. Tickets are £12 at the door, or from a member of the choir. ERCS is a friendly choir and we welcome new singers. The ancient parish of Ruislip (which included Northwood and Eastcote) was first documented in the Domesday Book. The Society exists to encourage interest in the history and conservation of this area and the study of local history generally.
