New Year’s Day Walk – Ruislip Woods
The New Year's Day walk through Ruislip Woods is a great way to start off your year. Come and join our local expert on a walk who will point out areas of natural history along the way. It starts at the Woodland Centre by the Beach at Ruislip Lido at 10:30am. The walk takes about 2 hours and there is a stop in one of the Woods for mince pies and mulled wine or soft drinks. The ancient parish of Ruislip (which included Northwood and Eastcote) was first documented in the Domesday Book. The Society exists to encourage interest in the history and conservation of this area and the study of local history generally. We hold meetings with illustrated talks on varied topics of local and wider interest, usually on the third Monday of each month from September to April.
