An Exhibition of Photography by Ray Staff
This is an exhibition showing images of landscapes and woodland along with urban, floral and creative photographic art, many of the woodland images are taken at Ruislip woods. Screenshot Doors to Manual takes a passenger's perspective to the history of flying from the first passenger flight in 1919, to today's economy flights. Central to the story are the cabin crew, qualification requirements and how these changed over time, uniforms designed by the world's fashion houses, and the food and drink. This not only looks like fun but should help make a positive contribution to the health of our local river. For context, this event and evidence that is gathered will build upon the previous Pinn Outfall Safari in 2022 in helping Thames Water to advance their Surface Water Outfall Programme to rectify misconnections in the Pinn catchment. As such it will also form part of the wider Pinn Catchment Monitoring Strategy in development.

A family event where you can drop in and see the exhibits displayed by our local members. These include spring bulbs and flowers they have grown, baking, handicrafts, photography and entries from the children. There is the opportunity to enjoy tea with homemade cake and visit the plant stall. You may decide join the Society whilst you’re there! For our March meeting our speaker will be Melanie Winterbotham who is the Ruislip, Northwood and Eastcote Local History Society Research Group co-ordinator and also edits our annual Journal. She will lead us through the findings of her research on Ruislip during the Boer War. Visitors are welcome (£3 donation). Any changes to these arrangements will be posted on the RNELHS website.
