Hillingdon's leading chamber choir, Sine Nomine Singers, will present their Spring concert at the recently-refurbished St Lawrence Church. The program includes the ever-popular Vivaldi 'Gloria', plus other less familiar but equally beautiful works (Astorga - Stabat Mater, Vaughan-Williams - Five Mystical Songs and Lauridsen - Nocturnes). Les will be telling us about the latest results from the continuing 4-year programme of community excavations at Cranford Park which lies in the south of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Harrow Choral Society returns to the recently refurbished Harrow School Speech Room after its sell-out Christmas Celebration to perform Mendelssohn’s pensive but also gloriously romantic Hymn of Praise. The 90 strong choir will also sing Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs which are settings of religious poems by George Herbert, and Beethoven’s Elegiac Song to be sung in German.
