Tuesday, September 16 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
For the first meeting of our Autumn season of lectures we are very pleased to welcome John Schofield, who was a senior archaeologist at Museum of London, to talk about “London’s Waterfront 1666 to 1800 and London’s involvement in Slavery”. John will tell us about the series of archaeological excavations in the waterfront of the City of London that he led between 1974 and 1983 and what these reveal about life in the port of London during this period when the city became the hub of the new British Empire. Visitors are welcome (£3 donation). Any changes to these arrangements will be posted on the RNELHS website. For further information please contact the Membership Secretary at membership@rnelhs.uk
