Harrow Choral Society’s Spring Concert
Saturday, March 28 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Rehearsals are underway for Harrow Choral Society’s Spring Concert on Saturday 28th March at St Alban’s Church, North Harrow, when the choir will sing Dvořák’s sublime Stabat Mater, his best known, and most often performed, sacred work. The choir is delighted to welcome Guest Conductor Jennifer Sterling and will be accompanied by professional soloists and orchestra.
Written in 1876, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater has been called both a sacred cantata and an oratorio, consisting as it does of exquisite solo arias interspersed with tuneful choruses. The compassionate words and beautiful music combine to produce a profoundly moving work on the theme of Easter.
Tickets are £25 and £2 for under18s. You can book online at www.harrowchoral.org.uk (no booking fee), email box-office@harrowchoral.org.uk or telephone 07794 253463.
