These structures appeared last November as part of the Council’s various initiatives to welcome back people to Hillingdon’s High Streets. They are shelters that contain tables and chairs. The Council have highlighted them in the ‘Hillingdon People’ magazine.
In Eastcote, there are two Parklets in the service roads that front the shopping parades, one outside the Lahore Restaurant and one to Francesca’s.
To facilitate these Parklet installations, the Council issued Experimental Traffic Orders, relating to the removal of the necessary service road parking bay in each case.
This Experimental Traffic Order allows for objections to be made as follows:-
By email to: parkingmanagementschemes@hillingdon.gov.uk
By post to: Transport and Projects, Residents Services, Civic Centre, Uxbridge, UB8 1UW
Use LBH Reference:- 3N/04/CF/27/10/21
The deadline for objections is 8th May 2022.
It is understood that LBH are intending to extend the scheme for another 6 months.
