Have your say on The Morford Way Conservation Area Appraisal

Hillingdon Council are updating the Morford Way Conservation Area (CA) Appraisal and you are asked to give your comments and/or put any questions you may have.

The Conservation Area covers Morford Way, the two Field End Road parades on
either side of it & Morford Close.

It is a great initiative that will up-date the 2012-2013 version and cement the document’s contents to ensure they will contribute positively to the protection of the history of our local area, respecting and enhancing its unique character.

The appraisal suggests the possibility of 5 new locally listed houses – we are aware that this has caused some concern among residents and would just say local listing is being used to highlight buildings of particular interest in the CA. This is not national listing and does not change the permitted development rights they currently have. You can ask more about this at the drop-in session detailed below.

This affects the environment for all who live and work in the area for years to come.

We urge you to join in the consultation process and in particular, to attend the drop-in session to express your views and/or ask any questions directly.

If you cannot attend the session but have any questions or points for the Officers, email the details to Jackie Redrup, ERA Planning Representative, and she will address them at the session and get the Officers’ responses to you. Jackie’s email address is planning@eastcotera.co.uk.

The appraisal document & on-line consultation form are on the Hillingdon Council website under Morford Way conservation area consultation.  https://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/article/15132/Morford-Way-conservation-area-consultation

This CA consultation now ends on 30th January 2026 (was 9th January).

Unfortunately, the news of the appraisal was not widely advertised, which is why the Resident’s Association is distributing this flyer to all the properties in the CA to ensure everyone is informed now and can still have their say and raise any concerns.

With very best wishes for the New Year
From the Eastcote Residents’ Association
