From Monday 16 May until late 2018 the Metropolitan line will close earlier than normal between Aldgate and Wembley Park. From approximately 22:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays track and drainage work will be taking place between Baker Street and Finchley Road.

The track and drainage is being replaced to increase reliability and shorten journey times. This section of line runs in single bore tunnels which means there is less room to work in than on other parts of the network.
To speed up the work by allowing contractors longer on site each night, the line will close early between Aldgate and Wembley Park on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Travel options
A revised Metropolitan line service will operate north of Wembley Park:
- Wembley Park to Amersham – every 30 minutes
- Wembley Park to Chesham – every 30 minutes
- Wembley Park to Uxbridge – every 10 minutes
- Harrow-on-the-Hill to Watford – every 15 minutes
Use the Jubilee line for travel between Wembley Park and Baker Street.
Use the Circle or Hammersmith & City line for travel between Baker Street and Aldgate.
Chiltern Railways services also run between Amersham, Chalfont & Latimer, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Marylebone.
