DESCRIPTION:For our February meeting we welcome Claudia Mernick\, an experienced guide at Grim’s Dyke House and Gardens\, to tell us about “Grim’s Dyke: the story of a house and its inhabitants”. The house\, which was built by Richard Norman Shaw for painter Frederick Goodall and named after the nearby prehistoric earthwork known as Grim’s Ditch\, is best known as the home of the dramatist W. S. Gilbert\, of the opera partnership Gilbert and Sullivan. \nVisitors are welcome (£3 donation). Any changes to these arrangements will be posted on the RNELHS website.
