It is a confident work by a composer who understands and responds to the jazz idiom\, making free use of the 12-bar blues sequence. \nAndrew Lloyd-Webber’s musical CATS is based on the 1939 poetry collection Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. It is the seventh longest-running West End show.
